Why Separate Print Options?

The LTE print options are very similar to the LTE Display Options, and you may be wondering why they even exist. In this day and age of WYSIWIG, why does VBLM allow you to display and print in independent formats, ie to create non-WYSIWIG hard copy?

WYSIWIG is nice, and it is readily available: just click the WYSIWYG button, which synchronizes print options with display options, and be done with it.

Why might you not want WYSIWYG hard copy? Well, working on screen and on paper are two different activities, and you may find that different formats are most appropriate for each medium. For example, we found that when we were printing tables to use as worksheets, we consistently wanted a higher number for Line Spacing to give more room to scribble. On the screen, this just wasted space. So that's why.
