Adding, Editing, and Removing Images

Adding an Image or Images

There are 5 ways to add images to an Easel composition:

Note 1: When you add multiple images, Easel sizes them by dividing the total area of the page by the total number of images in the composition.

Note 2: When you add multiple images to a composition that contains an equal number of empty frames, Easel will position and size them to fit in the frames. See Working with Frames for more info.

Moving & Resizing an Image

To move an image, position the mouse on it, hold down the left button, and drag it around. Release the button when done. To move it right up against another image without overlap, hold down the Ctrl key during the move.

To resize an image, move the mouse over an edge or corner until the cursor changes to a resizing arrow, then hold down the left button and drag the edge or corner. Release the button when done.

Editing an Image

To edit an image, right click it and select one of the editing commands from the image menu that pops up.

Removing an Image

To remove an image, right click it and select Remove from the image menu that pops up.

Editing and Removing Multiple Images

To edit or remove more than 1 image at a time, first select the images, then execute the editing or remove command by clicking it on the selection menu. To select all images, click Selection/Select All Images on the main menu. To select multiple images at once, hold down the Shift key and the left mouse button, then drag a rectangle that touches some or all of each image to be selected. You can also select individual images by right clicking, then clicking Select on the image menu. For more info, see working with multiple images.

Selecting an image that is already selected deselects it.
