There are 3 ways to add a single frame to an Easel composition:
Select Add/Add Frame on the main menu, move the mouse to the desired location, then hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to outline the approximate size of the frame. When you release the mouse button, use the Frame Editor window that appears to set line thickness, color, and other properties. Click OK to finish.
Click the Add Frame icon on the toolbar, then proceed as above.
Right click on a blank part of the composition, select Add Frame, proceed as above.
Similarly, there are three way to add a frameset:
Select Add/Add Frameset on the main menu. When you release the mouse button, use the Frame Editor window that appears to set the number of frames across and down in the set, as well as the properties of each individual frame. Click OK to finish.
Click the Add Frameset icon on the toolbar, then proceed as above.
Right click on a blank part of the composition, select Add Frameset, proceed as above.
To move a frame, position the mouse on it, hold down the left button, and drag it around. Release the button when done.
To resize a caption, move the mouse over an edge or corner until the cursor changes to a resizing icon, then hold down the left button and drag the edge or corner. Release the button when done.
Note: If the frame has been attached to an image, it will move and resize with the image; if you want to move or resize it independently, you need to unattach it first. See Working with Frames for more information.
To edit a frame, right click it to get the frame menu and select Edit Frame Properties, then use the Frame Editor window that appears. Click OK or Cancel when done editing.
If the composition has more than one frame, the frame menu has an Edit All Frames entry. Use this command to set one or more properties to the same values for all frames.
To remove an image, right click it and select Remove from the frame menu that pops up.
To edit or remove more than 1 frame at a time, first select the frames, then execute the editing or remove command. To select all frames, click Selection/Select All Frames on the main menu. To select multiple frames at once, hold down the shift key and the left mouse button, then drag a rectangle that touches some or all of each frame to be selected. You can also select individual frames by right clicking, then clicking Select on the frame menu that appears. For more info, see Working with Selections.
Selecting a frame that is already selected deselects it.
